Upgrading from openjdk 8 to 11

Hey there,

i have installed several graylog instances with Java openjdk 1.8 and i would like to upgrade them to the newer java openjdk 11.

When just installing the newer package and removing the older one, graylog wont start as expected.

Is there a guide on how to proceed with such an upgrade?

Greetings

You need to change the garbage collecting settings. I have not found any guide for that, I just chose one.

Where do i find these settings?

Depends on how you have installed Graylog. Ubuntu and Centos for example have them probably in different places.

The settings are in the same place, where you make Java Heap Size settings.
