Ugg, Can't even log in

Just installed Graylog. And having trouble even getting logged in. So, I am off to a terrible start.

I can SSH via ubuntu:unbuntu.

But can get into web interface via admin:admin OR admin:PW
I just get this error:Invalid credentials, please verify them and retry.

Any help please? Can i reset pw or create a new users via SHH and root access?

I guess you are using the OVA of Graylog? The virtual Image?

How about reading the Documentation? http://docs.graylog.org/en/3.0/pages/installation/virtual_machine_appliances.html#run-the-image

That pages let you know that on first boot the password is displayed once …

Thank you for response.

Yes, OVA. Yes, I read doc in advance. Yes, took screen shot of pw when it was displayed. Yes, can get to web log in screen using IP number in screen shot.

No, can not login via admin and pw in screen shot.
I just get this error:Invalid credentials, please verify them and retry.

(i can ssh with un and pw unbuntu, like the documentation state)

What is my next course of action? Can I change the web pw via ssh log in? Can i create a new web user via SSH? Or do I need to start all over and reploy the ova?

you can change the password in /etc/graylog/server/server.conf

http://docs.graylog.org/en/3.0/pages/configuration/server.conf.html#general

Yes the user is correct, the default web pw doesnt work with the ova. Had to do this yesterday. You must go generate a hash of your own pw.
