Question on upgrading from 2.5 to 3.3 (current)

I’ve been reading through the notes on upgrades from 2.5-3.0 ; 3.0-3.1; … ; etc. to 3.3
The biggest changes look to be from 2.5 to 3.0 with some changes I’ll need to do in the config files afterward.
Do I need to upgrade to 3.0 first and then go to 3.3? Or is that even possible? The upgrade instructions I’ve seen just mention the latest 3.3 packages.
rpm -Uvh https://packages.graylog2.org/repo/packages/graylog-3.3-repository_latest.rpm
Do I just upgrade to 3.3 and start checking and changing all the mentioned settings changes in the notes of each one. Until I’m through the notes on 3.3?

Hi,
The boring but most reasonable answer here is ‘read the documentation’. When i upgraded i went from 2.4 to 3.1 and there were some changes that caused the process to take longer than i expected. Afterwards i went from 3.1 to 3.2.
What i really recommend here is to backup MongoDB and practice restore before you start.
What version of MongoDB and Elastic are you on now ? It’s probably a good idea to have those updated as well.
