Connecting Grafana to OpenSearch data node

1. Describe your incident:
I am unable to connect from Grafana to the Graylog OpenSearch data node.

2. Describe your environment:

  • OS Information:
    Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (VM)
  • Package Version:
    Graylog Enterprise 6.1.1. Clean install.
    Grafana 11.3 with Opensearch plug in 2.21.1
  • Service logs, configurations, and environment variables:

3. What steps have you already taken to try and solve the problem?

In datanode.conf, set opensearch http listen address to 9200 and tried connecting from Grafana with no authentication

In Grafana, set port to 9000, authentication to basic and used Graylog login

4. How can the community help?

I think you have to use certificate authentication for any 3rd party tools you.want to connect to datanode, there is a section in the docs about setting it up.
