I just installed a fresh Graylog, once as a plugin in TrueNas Core once as standalone server on Ubuntu 22 following this guide step by step:
In both TrueNAS plugin and Ubuntu standalone install, no matter what I do, I’m getting “You cannot access this resource, invalid username/password combination!”
I can’t say I am surprised you are having trouble if you followed that guide; its garbage. For one, it directs you to install JDK. Graylog comes packaged with JDK since 5.0 (we are on 6.0, now). Second, it has you install Elasticsearch. Graylog suggests (strongly) you use OpenSearch as support for Elasticsearch is being phased out (if it hasn’t already). Third, it has you install NGINX as a reverse proxy. There is no need for a reverse proxy unless you absolutely can’t access the port on which Graylog is served on the host.
