Initial Setup Data Node Activation Failed

2. Describe your environment:

  • OS Information:
    Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
    4* Package Version:
  • Service logs, configurations, and environment variables:
    First node setup with Graylog Open

3. What steps have you already taken to try and solve the problem?

Try re-install 10 times now. All Services is running fine

4. How can the community help?
Not sure. It is just a simple process @ the end of the whole setup. I am looking for troubleshoot doc. The Data Node how it is communicate with Graylog Server.
work around ? I had used graylog from version 3 and the latest 5.2 so i know way around the configuration. Just need some tips

The Datanode docs can be found here, could you give a little more context as to at what point this setup fails?

I think it is the network a lots of compliance rules in placed so the activation process might be block. I setup @ home lab and it works just fine…so I copy the vm and bring that to work. I redo the setup with open search and it work. What am I missing between having the Data nOde setup vs the Opensearch setup?
