I am new to graylog… i am able to create events and notification. But how to create alert?
If you attach notification to event, you create Alert.
Event is without notification, you can use it to create correlation.

I see that correlation is part of entrprise edition. Does the opensource code in github have code for correlation?
No, it’s only enterprise feature. But you can use enterprise version, if your input data is lower than 5GB per day.
