1. Describe your incident:
When I first installed the Graylog, the function was ok and it could show the log messages. But the other day, the search field show that ‘No stream permissions’

And the stream filed shows ‘cloud not retrieve indes sets.’

After I restart the centos7, it worked again!

But the search filed shows another error’ * Elasticsearch exception [type=index_not_found_exception, reason=no such index ].’

And the inputs has gone, I need to configure that again.
To fix the search filed’s new error, I go to ‘System’->‘Indices’->‘Default index set’->‘Maintenance’->‘recalculate index ranges’, and the function is back, but the other day, it’ll go back to ‘No stream permissions’ again.

Your screenshot shows this error: no default index set configured
This may indicate a problem with ES. Check your ES/OS logs and cluster health.

The bigger problem: you are running ES 7.16. GL support for ES stopped at 7.10. Going forward we only maintain support for OpenSearch.

Thanks for reply.
I check the elasticsearch logs, and I don’t see any errors at that time. Maybe the problem is with the ES 7.16? I’ll reinstall the ES 7.10 and try again.
