400 Cannot post error graylog 3.2.1 ubuntu non-ova

OS : Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
graylog: 3.2.1

not using nginx or apache, i am just using the default that graylog provides

i get the following error
Error - the server returned: 400 - cannot POST http://10.10.2.117:9000/api/system/sessions (400)

Link to config file: Config File

i basically only defined the http_bind_address

get the same output with edge / firefox / chrome

hopefully anyone can give me some advice, i’m relatively new with graylog but i’m a longtime linux user.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!!

and what does the Graylog server.log tells you?

If your graylog have only one IP (interface), it’s better to use 0.0.0.0 in bind address:

http_bind_address = 0.0.0.0:9000
