No configurations available for the selected log collector

Hi,

I’m trying to get two windows machines to forward logs to my newly created Graylog server. I have installed sidecar 1.0.2 on both, configured them to connect to the Graylog server and I can see them in the Sidecars Overview. I have updated the winlogbeat config with the correct IP address, but when I go to Sidecar Administration I can’t apply the config. It is not possible to select Apply Configuration, instead underneath it says “No configurations available for the selected log collector”.

What am I doing wrong?

First you need to create Configuration (System - Sidecars - tab Configuration - button Create configuration). After-that you can apply configuration to connected sidecar in tab Administration.
