Mongodb version to use

Description of your problem

We are installing Graylog from the ground up, but not sure which mongodb version to use.

Should we follow directions on: CentOS installation - Installing Graylog and version 4.2 for CentOS

or https://docs.mongodb.com/upcoming/tutorial/install-mongodb-on-red-hat/ with version 5.X
that is not mentioned as supported?

Operating system information

Rocky Linux release 8.4 (Green Obsidian)

https://docs.graylog.org/docs/installing#system-requirements says 3.6, 4.0, 4.2 or 4.4.

Actually @Arie, the docs are sort of incorrect. 3.6 is EOL, so don’t use it. Stick with 4.0, 4.2, 4.4.

Thank You all, I shall follow the default directions.
