ldap/Active Diirectory authentication start failing after a few days

I am running Graylog v3.0.2+1686930 on ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS on AWS.

The system is working fine, and I have configured authentication via active directory. It works fine for what seems like a few days, then it stops authenticating to active directory . if I re-boot it starts working again immediately on the first try.

Any ideas of where I should look for any errors or any know issues with this?
