How to separate data on graylog

Currently, in our application, we are planning to send both log and metrics data. How end-user will be able to differentiate data? I mean, how end-user will know if the record/message he is viewing belongs to log data/ metrics-data.

or

How can i stream log data to particular entity of graylog and metrics data to other entity of graylog?

You can use streams for that.
