Help me. how to fix if it doesn’t show up The journal contains 0 unprocessed messages

Hi @yupysyntax,

I’m a Graylog’s new user but as far as I can tell, this is not a problem at all.

Journal in graylog in only a “swap area” that handles received messages in the meantime that message isn’t sent to the elasticsearch which is the final destination.

In other words, if journal contains 0 messages it means the you don’t have a bottleneck in you elasticsearch environment.

Don’t know if I got it right, can you tell more about your concern?

I believe this to be a good thing. It means your server is keeping up with the messages that are coming in.

Here’s mine:

My understanding is that the journal is where messages go before Graylog processes them and does whatever needs to be done. If you have messages in the journal, Graylog is not processing them fast enough.

Thank you, Zach.
