Graylog GUI not responding

Downloaded and have been running Graylog (OVA) for a few weeks, all working great… logged in the other day and the stream was no longer receiving messages, so I rebooted the box. Since the reboot I cannot get into the GUI (SSH works), I get the following message…

We are experiencing problems connecting to the Graylog server running on http://<ip_address>:9000/api/. Please verify that the server is healthy and working correctly.

You will be automatically redirected to the previous page once we can connect to the server.

I have no idea how to start troubleshooting this, please help!

• did you check if all services are running?
• did you check if the OVA has sufficient disk space left?
• did you check the log files?
