enableSmartSearch - What does this permission mean?

Hi,

What really hides behind

“Preferences”: {
“UpdateUnfocussed”: false,
“DisableExpensiveUpdates”: false,
“EnableSmartSearch”: true
},

I found it on http://docs.graylog.org/en/2.2/pages/users_and_roles/permission_system.html.

Especially the last two points would interest me. It is possible to change the adaptation to existing users globally.

“EnableSmartSearch” enables the autocompletion of field names in the search box.
“disableExpensiveUpdates” is a legacy setting and not used anymore.

No, that’s not possible. You’ll have to update these settings for each user account.
