1. Describe your incident:
I’m attempting to figure out if it’s possible to query the elasticsearch instance that runs on the datanode from outside of Graylog. I can hit it, but cannot auth to it and I’m unsure where it gets it’s username/password. I’ve tried the admin/root/default sorts of passwords that I have for Graylog and nothing works.

3. What steps have you already taken to try and solve the problem?
- Used all the passwords/usernames that I know of against my instance @ port 9200.
- Searched the docs for elastic password setup.

- Let me know if this is a supported usage and how I can find the auth info for the elastic instance.
