Confused about Illuminate and licenses

I am running 6.2.2 I have done an installation from scratch.

I am running a Small Business license. Incidentally I am testing some features at home while we decide getting Security, we have already seen a demo.

I have defined a syslog UDP input and, running Small Business, it offers me to enable Illuminate. In my case the syslog messages are coming from a Ubiquiti Unifi installation.

Is this correct? As far as I know Illuminate is part of Security, not Enterprise? Indeed it does not work, in that case it shouldn’t offer it when setting up an input.

Thanks!

Illuminate is part of the paid license, there are a few opensource products that you can install the processing pack for in the open product.

A recent change is that we now list all of the available packs so that people can see what is available. However due to a bug in some cases these packs do not display correctly that this is the case, and if you install them they are just empty shells so no content will actually install.

Thank you, it makes sense.

Actually I think there is a couple of bugs here.

The list of available Illuminate packs does not allow me to select them from installation except for certain cases (Netflow and a couple more)

BUT

First:
I can “open” one Illuminate pack, select its dependencies, and enable them. This looks like I actually installed them.

Doing this I “enabled” the Unifi content packs although I guess they are not working. Anyway it should not be possible to enable them in this way.

Second: After installing Graylog from scratch and installing a license, I created the first input and the input configuration dialog gave me the option to enable the Unifi plugins. I guess it should not.

(For the record, I was not trying to cheat; I thought I could not enable them because of a bug and I thought I had found a workaround).
