Clustering with master on version 5 and others on version 4

1. Describe your incident:
Want to see if I can run version 5 on the master node and version 4 on the others in the cluster while I’m transitioning to 5.

2. Describe your environment:

  • OS Information:

Ubuntu 22.04

  • Package Version:

Graylog 4.3.7+05bccc7

  • Service logs, configurations, and environment variables:
    Simply a question. Not a problem per se.

3. What steps have you already taken to try and solve the problem?
It’s not really a problems so much as a question. Just trying to limit downtime.

This is an attempt at own your risk scenario, rolling minor version updates are generally okay but with major versions planned maintenance would be the best route.

Are you currently using Opensearch or Elastic?

Elastic but I’m switching to Opensearch. I’m not going to do it.
