Change Index prefix Increment

When I create an Index you can specify the index prefix, but by default it will append _# to the end as it increments. Is it possible to change this to a -# ? I need to make it a hyphen instead of underscore to have another software package look at the same index.

I saw something from 2021 that it may not be possible but wanted to check to see if that is still the case.

The separator is hardcoded here.

It’s not configurable - it would be tricky to manage the transition from one to another. For a completely new installation, I suppose it could be done.
