Absolutely impossible to install.

Trying to install GrayLog 6.1 I have pissed the repo:

wget -qO - https://packages.graylog2.org/repo/packages/graylog-6.1-repository_latest.gpg.key | gpg --dearmor | sudo tee /usr/share/keyrings/graylog-keyring.gpg > /dev/null

gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found.

And it is true – the resource “https://packages.graylog2.org/repo/packages/graylog-6.1-repository_latest.gpg.key” is not available to me any more.

I reinstalled so many times (some 50+) because it is impossible to make graylog-datanode running. It crashes all the time and it is impossible to understand why.

Hey Vadim -

Hang in there. I know it’s frustrating as heck.

I am sure that you will get the help and support that you need on this forum. I am a “Newbie” on Graylog and had troubles with my install. I was impressed at how quickly folks were willing to help out. I also think the product is worth working your way through any install challenges.

The community has helped me out already :slightly_smiling_face:

The issue was an absence of a clear warning that OpenSearch and DataNode supersede each other and shall not (yet they can) be installed on the same computer.

I looked through our official 6.1 Documentation and we clearly state
" Warning: It is possible to deploy Graylog with self-managed OpenSearch; however, Data Node is the recommended search backend for use with Graylog."
here Install Graylog

To give us the opportunity to improve our documentation, can you please link to pages in our docs where we state otherwise or are unclear?

Can you please post the link where you got the information to download/install this key? I could not find it.

Thank you.
