Saved Searches accessible across users

Is there any way for me to restrict saved searches to specific users or roles?

Currently the reader role by default gives full access to the saved searches meaning any saved search is visible across all users. Preferably, I would like for the saved searches to only be visible to those who have created them.

I see this is an issue here: https://github.com/Graylog2/graylog2-server/issues/520, but I was wondering if there is perhaps a work-around. Or even a way to disable saved searches completely.

So no, it’s currently not possible.
