How to sort in Graylog?

Been looking everywhere and to my surprise, the ability to sort the search results in Graylog isn’t mentioned on many places. On some pages there are tips that you can sort in the Graylog Admin UI but I’m not even finding the sort function on the UI page.

How do I sort the search results by a field, either in a query or in the UI (preferrably in a query)?

click the drop down icon in the upper right corner of the results and click edit. The sort options are in there. Not ideal, but it’s there.

Thanks a lot cawfehman! It was hidden there :slight_smile: Couldn’t find info even in the documentation.

Is there any possibility to put the sort order criteria in the query?

not that I’m aware of. Perhaps through the API.
