How to restrict incoming messages speed?

hi,
I would like to restrict incoming messages speed ? say 1500-2000 per second per node.

scenario is :-
i have 5 nodes running with ( 32 Gb / 16 Core CPU ),suddenly incoming processing of one of the node process @ speed of 10 or 15 k messages per second for some time then remain ( 1500-2000 ) normal after some time.
this cause huge back log on the node.

is there any thing so i can tunne in server.conf for restricting the incoming speed per node.

you can’t throttle on the receiver - you need to throttle on the sender.
