Filter search field check boxes no showing up

On most of the Graylog help videos that I’ve watched, when doing a search there are check boxes on the left of the search results that allow you to filter your results. I don’t have any check boxes. How do I turn that on?

you probably do have a newer version of graylog. Where we do not have this check boxes anymore.
But you could not filter with this checkboxes. You could only add/remove these fields to the message table. You can still do that by clicking on that field.
