Expected numeric type on field [source], but got [text]

Graylog is searching ElasticSearch and latter gets following exception:
Caused by: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Expected numeric type on field [source], but got [text]

I’ve checked /_template/graylog-internal and /_mapping?pretty and bot show source “type”: “text”

Any clues, what seems to be wrong? And how to fix this?

Sorry that is not enough Information to answer the question properly.

What ES Version? Is that happening all the time or just in a specific timeframe? Does that happen also after the index rotation?

What is your ES configuration?
