I’m new today to learning about Gray log and read that “As a (en embedded Elasticsearch) node you can send it in native format, and it is fast.” I understand embedded ES was now deprecated - does Graylog still use it, or is this statement (from the architecture deep dive) out of date?
As Graylog has switched from an embedded Elasticsearch node client to a lightweight HTTP client in version 2.3, please check the upgrade notes how to migrate your configuration if you are switching from an earlier version.

Current Graylog version is 3.3.4 (with no apparent changes from 3.3.3 :P)
