Date convert in NotificationTemplate (JMTE) possible?

Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to convert a date field directly into the notification template?
Like, for example $ {to_date (event.timestamp, "Europe / Berlin")} ?
I know that the Templates use JMTE, but I don’t find any information how to convert a date directly with JMTE.
