I set the indices rotation every day(P1D ) and i am in Shanghai of China, but I noticed that rotation is done at 8 AM , the gray-server.conf have set “root_timezone = Asia/Shanghai”, but the indices rotation time also was done at 8 AM, not 0 AM, what should i do?
Graylog work internal with UTC - currently the daily rotation is done 0AM UTC.
the setting root_timezone is only given to set the timzone of the user admin.
You might want to raise a feature request to make the time configurable when the P1D rotation is done:
