I have a journal directory backup and I lost the original journal files on the graylog server filesystem. Can I upload journal again and send it using a special program somehow back to the elasticsearch via graylog api ?

Hello,
The Graylog journal is the component sitting in front of all message processing that writes all incoming messages to disk. Its more like a place hold for messages to be processed.
As for
I’m not sure about.
But you can create a snapshot with Elasticsearch. This will backup your messages from indices.
