Hi everyone,
I’ve been exploring ways to make Graylog dashboards easier to use, especially for teams that need quick insights into their systems. One thing that could help a lot is having prebuilt dashboards designed specifically to monitor for work. These dashboards could come with key metrics like CPU, memory, disk usage, JVM status, and stream throughput, along with default alert thresholds, so users can start monitoring immediately without spending time creating everything from scratch.
It would also be great if these dashboards included templates for different environments. For example, setups for small infrastructures, high-volume logging systems, or security-focused monitoring could save teams a lot of time. Being able to clone a template and adjust metrics or alert thresholds would make these dashboards more flexible and practical.
Adding historical trend charts to show activity over hours, days, or weeks would help teams spot emerging issues early. Guidance or a simple wizard to walk new users through activating and customizing dashboards would also make the experience much smoother.
Overall, prebuilt dashboards like this could improve efficiency, reduce setup time, and make Graylog more accessible for teams of any size. I’m curious to hear if others have tried similar approaches or have suggestions for making dashboards even more useful.
