in the stream properties i have the option to check the “Remove matches from ‘All messages’ stream”. if i choose not to check and all the messages will be stored in the “all_messages” stream , will it consume twice as much storage?
It depends. If you’re using a different index set for your stream, then yes. Otherwise no.
