Logs are stored by Graylog?

Another dumb general question for clarification

I know that Graylog writes logs to disk, so if I’m running Graylog on a VM, does that mean that the logs are being stored on my VM? And if I eventually run out of space, I would just need to increase resources for my Graylog VM, correct?

Thanks!!!

graylog manages logs and saves them in elasticsearch/opensearch database, in case Graylog OVA said database is contained within the same VM as Graylog itself, so yes, you’ll have to add another virtual disk to the VM, but it’s complicated, official docs don’t cover that because OVA is only meant for demoing not for production usage
