How to source plaint text file to Greylog (upload directly to greylog server)

I want to upload plain text file to Greylog, is there any way i can perform this without specifying server and other details

  • OS Information: Linux

  • Package Version: 4.2

  • Service logs, configurations, and environment variables: log files

3. What steps have you already taken to try and solve the problem?

I tried to use PlainTextRAW/TCP, but not able to upload text files to Greylog

What is it you are trying to accomplish?
What problem do you encounter with plaintext raw?

Hi Patrick,

I am working Graylog POC, need to check some logs which were provided from other source as a text file. I want to know the procedure to upload this text file and anylize logs.

I just netcat them to the appropriate input, which I guess is what you are doing too. In what way exactly is it failing?

Or you can use an agent like Filebeat or NXLog to collect them and ship them to Graylog via either beats or GELF inputs.
