Has empty mandatory "short_message" field

Hi,

I’m getting the following error from Graylog server. It looks like its own log messages have an empty short message field. Where can i change this? Thank you for the help .

ERROR [DecodingProcessor] Error processing message RawMessage{id=03bced40-7de7-11e7-81c7-005056a7396f, journalOffset=25099402942, codec=gelf, payloadSize=140, timestamp=2017-08-10T16:14:41.172Z, remoteAddress=/127.0.0.1:36005}% java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: GELF message <03bced40-7de7-11e7-81c7-005056a7396f> (received from <127.0.0.1:36005>) has empty mandatory “short_message” field.

What type of GELF client was sending these messages?

FWIW, the GELF message validation will be relaxed again in Graylog 2.3.1:
