Learnt from the documentation that Graylog Enterprise version provides Archiving as part of Data Retention, the same is not available in Graylog Open Source.
But as Graylog is attached to elastic for data storage, I can still archive data from Elastic’s end which is an open source too.
Can you please comment on this,

Yes, that’s correct but it won’t be integrated in Graylog (and its processes) nor will it be supported by the support contract with Graylog, Inc. (if you have any).
What the Archiving plugin in Graylog Enterprise provides is compliance and integration with the rest of the product. If you want to use a custom backup/archiving solution, then go for it.
