but the output is:
dpkg: error processing archive collector-sidecar_0.0.9-1_amd64.deb (–install):
-bash: syntax error near unexpected token `(’
$ cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
collector-sidecar_0.0.9-1_amd64.deb

oh nevermind, i need download it, then run the command.

Make sure to install the correct version for your Graylog cluster:

@jochen just more one question, if i’m using a Virtual Machine with ubuntu as my enviroment, but this VM is running in a windows, and graylog is installed in my windows, i need install sidecar on my windows? correct?

That totally depends on what you want to achieve and the logs of which system you want to collect.

Also, you don’t need the Graylog Collector Sidecar at all, if don’t want to use it.

i just want collect apache errors too

I don’t see what that has to do with Linux or Windows.

You have to collect the Apache httpd logs on the system where they’re written.

wel…i’m still learning, but thanks for your answer and patience
