Discarding duplicate packets

Hi i am new to graylog and need some help. The problem is am filtering an event in a stream but that event is appearing two times and thats why it appearing two time in the dashboard also. Is there any way to discard the second packet even it has same EVENTID and other info. ?

with vanilla Graylog that is not possible. You would need to write a plugin that can do this for you.
