In the nodes-page, it is possible to force loadbalancer status to Alive or Dead. I cannot see a way to unset this, to return back to automatic setting of loadbalancer status. Is there some other way other than restarting the server, to get to that mode?
No, unfortunately there’s no way to reset the load balancer status to automatic after you’ve overridden the status.

the work around is - on the same action button - pause processing and resume processing and the status will have removed the force override.
But as @jochen said, this is a missing feature and should be reported.
