# Repeat notifications

Can anyone explain to me, What does exactly mean “ **Repeat notifications** ” (the optional checkbox) in alert conditions? Does it have any impact on the “ **Message backlog** ” setting or vice-ver-sa? I am using callback python script as notification type.  
Please clarify this. Thanks in advance.
