# Is it possible to disable the "Message Count" widget from the default view (unsaved search)?

For some people, the “Message Count” widget might not be of real use while searching for log messages. For large indices, that count query can generate a hard hit on the elasticsearch instances. Personally, most of the time, I’m not interested in viewing the message count, and removing this widget makes the search a lot faster.

Is it possible to disable this widget from the default search view?

Hello @juliohm1978

I believe its there by defualt.

Options are create a saved dashboard or use a stream. Go into the user setting as shown below:
