Description of your problem

I am getting mails sent to me from notifications that are 4 hours old. I did have an issue with my streams before but that is fixed and seems like I am being Backlog messages that were meant to be delivered 4 hours ago. How can I clean this queue out of old messages?

So there’s no mail queue. If you have a backlog of messages, then that’s the cause. I wouldn’t recommend trying to get rid of the backlog, otherwise you’re going to be missing data.
