# Filebeat Collector Sidecar: How to override collector\_node\_id in config?

How to configure the Graylog collector sidecar to get a custom collector\_node\_id in the Filebeat configuration?

I am on Graylog Collector Sidecar version 0.1.6 and configured the collector sidecar node\_name in:

```auto
/etc/graylog/collector-sidecar/collector_sidecar.yml

```

as

```auto
node_name: xxxx

```

but the generated config for filebeat

```auto
/etc/graylog/collector-sidecar/generated/filebeat.yml

```

uses the system hostname for collector\_node\_id:

```auto
filebeat: prospectors:
  - encoding: plain
    exclude_files: []
    fields:
      collector_node_id: my-hostname-not-xxxx

```

Is it possible to force a collector\_node\_id to be set as xxxx instead?
