Any other config files or log portions I can provide that might help?
So is Graylog running but not listening on port 9000, as in you still send it logs and it stored them, or does it claim to be running but it is in fact not doing anything?
It is running but not doing anything. How would I go about finding out if it is storing the logs I am sending it?
Well your opensearch would be growing theoretically, also if you have some tcp inputs, you can just check if they are responding.
I assume you are referring to using the Opensearch API to see if it is doing anything as well? I’d have to look up some queries to find basic info other than the generic “yes opensearch is up and running” query
You could but also just does it take up more space every day.
Ok. I’ll have to give that a test tomorrow.
Ok so I attempted the upgrade again and it appears that my file system is not growing in used disk space although mongodb, opensearch and graylog are all running
I SUCCESSFULLY UPGRADED!!!
one of the nodes mongodb was “RECOVERING”. Stopped the mongo service, nuked the data files, started the service, made sure the node synced.
Then I ran the Graylog updates and it worked!
