# “AWS S3 Input” is not available in Graylog 6.2

**1. incident:**

I’m currently migrating from an older version of Graylog and need the **AWS S3 input**. However, it doesn’t appear in the list of available inputs in my instance. According to the [official documentation](https://go2docs.graylog.org/current/getting_in_log_data/aws_s3_input.htm?tocpath=Get%20in%20Logs%7CInputs%7CGraylog%20Inputs%7C _____ 3), this feature was introduced in **Graylog 6.2** , but I’m still unable to find it.

Is there anything additional I need to enable or install to access the AWS S3 input?

**2. Describe your environment:**

- **OS Information:** Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS (AWS EC2)
- **Deployment method:** Docker
- **Graylog version:** graylog/graylog:6.2 (specifically version **6.2.2+13ba949** )
- **Java version:** Eclipse Adoptium 17.0.15
- **Kernel:** Linux 6.8.0-1029-aws

**3. What steps have you already taken to try and solve the problem?**

- Verified the documentation that AWS S3 input should exist in Graylog 6.2+
- Checked all available input types in the Graylog UI
- Restarted the container to see if the input appears
- Verified that the image tag 6.2.2 is being used
- Used old plugin [here](https://github.com/sherzberg/graylog-plugin-s3) - input start but not working.

**4. How can the community help?**

- Confirm whether the **AWS S3 input** is included by default in the official Docker image
- Advise if a plugin or additional configuration is needed
- Share troubleshooting steps or experience enabling this input in a similar environment
