# API Request for Out msg/s by Node

What is the API call to get the In/Out msg/s by node? I’ve tried to look for the api call, but can seem to find the correct request to make.

It’s simply the `org.graylog2.throughput.input.1-sec-rate` and `org.graylog2.throughput.output.1-sec-rate` metrics as provided by `GET /system/metrics/{metricName}`.
